Ever tried Stand Up Paddle Boarding?
The nice people at Pro SUP Shop had me kitted out and ready to go in no time.
I thought it would be interesting to paddle by the different kinds of boats around the marina, but I never expected to see the following:
- another paddler who takes his dog out for a ride
- an on water paddle board yoga class
- groups of stingrays and leopard sharks (providing a good incentive to stay on the board)
When I was paddling back, a kid, about 12, asked me if I had seen the stingrays yet. I hadn’t so he told me to follow him over to an area by a group of rocks. We hadn’t gone very far when suddenly there were stingrays all around us.
So I learned two things that day – paddle boarding is fun and 12 year old kids always know where the coolest things are.
